摘要：

An efficient and general method has been developed for palladium-free copper-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of aryl iodides and terminal acetylenes under microwave irradiation in water, producing various alkynes in excellent yields. This process can also be successfully carried out under reflux in an oil bath.
