摘要
The derivatives of dithiobenzoate ester and amide-based chain transfer agents (CTA) were prepared. A compound containing a hydroxyl group can be prepared as a chain transfer agent for reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT). Grafting polymers onto cotton is usually achieved by irradiation techniques and leads to uncontrolled grafted polymeric chains. The chemical modification of the cotton with CPAC and magnesium chloride dithiobenzoate salt is an alternative method for preparing supported polymers with controlled molecular weight on cotton, using the RAFT process.
