摘要
Brain stimulation with pulsed magnetic fields to ease depression and enhance cognition is discussed. A technique called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) employs head mounted wire coils which send strong and short magnetic pulses into specific brain regions. TMS is a promising tool for understanding how the brain works and even correcting its dysfunctions.
