Highly efficient new catalysts for enantioselective transfer hydrogenation of ketones

摘要
Transfer hydrogenations of alkyl aryl ketones as well as a representative dialkyl ketone with isopropanol catalyzed by Ru complexes of chiral phosphinooxazolines were found to proceed with excellent turnover at a substrate/catalyst mole ratio of 1000:1 to yield products with up to 94% enantiomenic excess.
