Chrysene-linked pyrrolobenzodiazepine hybrids have been prepared that posses cytotoxicity in some cancer cell lines. They also exhibit promising DNA-binding affinity and this is supported by molecular modeling studies. (C) 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
