[GRAPHICS] The viability of solid-supported boronic acids as reagents for Suzuki couplings and nucleophilic additions to aldehydes and enones was successfully demonstrated. This metal-catalyzed cleavage strategy allows the synthesis of a series of functionalized biphenyl products, benzylic alcohols, and beta -substituted ketones.
