摘要
Visualizing small tumors: A novel, facile synthesis leads to the formation of strongly magnetic single-crystal core/shell iron/iron oxide nanoparticles without the use of highly toxic chemicals. The core/shell nanoparticles are highly effective MRI contrast agents and enable unambiguous detection of small tumors of 1-3 mm in vivo (see picture). Copyright © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
