Dependence of exchange coupling on magnetization in Co-Ni/FeMn bilayers

摘要
We have determined the characteristics of exchange bias in Co-Ni/FeMn bilayers with a fixed FeMn thickness of 150 Angstrom but Co-Ni layer with different magnetizations by varying its composition. The exchange coupling energy Delta sigma = H(E)t(FM)M(FM) is not constant, but varies as c(M-FM)(1/2), due to the local magnetic field from the ferromagnetic layer that dictates the spin structure of the antiferromagnetic layer during field cooling.
