One-step fabrication of ZnWO4 hollow spheres by nanoparticle aggregation and ripening in alcohol solution

摘要:
A one-step method has been developed to synthesize ZnWO4 spheres with a hollow-core diameter of 450 nm and an outer spherical diameter of 1.2 mu m. Experimental investigation reveals that the ZnWO4 spheres are formed through nanoparticle aggregation and ripening. Furthermore, introduction of appropriate water quantity to the reaction system is a key to obtain hollow-core ZnWO4. The as-obtained ZnWO4 hollow spheres exhibit a blue emission in the range of 350-550 nm, centered around 460 nm when excited at 254 nm.
