Cationic Ni(II) and Pd(II) complexes based on the bulky P, 0 ligand phenacyldi-tert-butylphosphine have been shown to be active for the polymerization of ethylene and copolymerization of ethylene and methyl 10-undecenoate, a functionalized monomer.
