Properties of cesium iodide prepared by different purification methods

摘要
The effect of the raw material purification on crystal quality was studied for the cesium iodide single crystals prepared by the Stockbarger method. Purification of the raw cesium iodide using an inorganic absorbent was found to be the most favorable. A brief description of the purification procedure was provided as well as the results of characterization of the obtained crystals by the ionic thermocurrent, electroconductivity and IR-spectroscopy methods.
