摘要
This paper considers the mutual effects of metals on each other in scanned deposition potential stripping chronopotentiometry measurements (SSCP) on multi-metal systems. As compared to stripping voltammetry, depletive SSCP displays a certain resistance to the impact of intermetallic compounds, while ongoing deposition during the reoxidation step can be clearly identified and eliminated. Although depletive SSCP is susceptible to electroless reoxidation processes in the ongoing stripping step, this effect is minimised at a microelectrode, and would be of practical significance only under extreme metal concentration ratios. With respect to this phenomenon, SSCP and stripping voltammetry are, to a certain extent, complementary. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
