Pentafluorophenyl and phenyl substituted azidoborates

摘要
The azidoborates [(C6F5)(4-n)B(N-3)(n)](-) (n = 1-3) (1-3) were synthesized by reacting the corresponding borane with [R]N-3 (R = Me4N, Ph4P). To study the influence of the electron withdrawing C6F5-substituent on the boron atom, [Me4N][(C6H5)(3)BN3] (4) was also prepared. All compounds were fully characterized by IR, Raman, and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy in addition to characterization by single crystal diffraction analyses.
