(Chemical Equation Presented) Magic Metalation: Inert towards conventional organomanganese reagents, ferrocene can now be directly manganated by using a specially designed mixed lithium/manganese(II) mixed dialkyl/amido reagent. The picture shows the structure of a dimanganese compound with three manganated 1,1′-ferrocenediyl fragments. © 2007 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH &. Co. KGaA.
