Deposition of thin films of a transition metal complex by spin coating

摘要
Spin coating is demonstrated to be a promising technique for depositing magnetic transition metal complexes. The thin films show nano-crystalline formations with random orientations. The optical properties determined using spectroscopic ellipsometry compare well to those of single molecules in solution indicating the preservation of the molecular structure upon the deposition process.
