This paper presents an analysis of impedimetric measurements and their variations due to interaction with biomolecules on platinum electrodes functionalized with polymeric layers containing antibodies. The behavior of electrodes functionalized either with aminopolysiloxanes deposited by a dip coating process or with an electropolymerized polypyrrole is compared. Best results were obtained using polypyrrole film based electrodes; these are discussed in terms of better permeability for the analyte. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
