Investigation of a series of heterobicyclic compounds with essential pharmacophoric features of the metabotropic glutamate receptor 5 (mGluR5) antagonists MPEP and MTEP provided novel structural templates with sub-micromolar affinities at the mGluR5. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
