Synthesis of cadmium hydroxide nanoflake and nanowisker by hydrothermal method

摘要
Cadmium hydroxide (Cd(OH)(2)) nanoflake and nanowisker were prepared via pure hydrothermal method and Citric acid (CA) assisted hydrothermal method, respectively. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results shows that the nanoflake and nanowisker are of hexagonal structure, and the selected area electron diffraction (SAED) pattern indicates that the Cd(OH)(2) nanoflakes and nanowiskers are single crystal in nature. The growth mechanism of the nanoflake and nanowisker is also discussed. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
