摘要
The efficacy of converting waste wood cellulosic materials into fuel ethanol is examined comprehensively. First, the technological issues are dealt with by reviewing recent developments in biomass production, wood pretreatment, enzyme production, hydrolysis, ferementation and product recovery. Following this technological overview, the economic feasibility of ethanol production from biomass is briefly reviewed.
