Allylic oxidation catalyzed by chiral dinuclear copper complexes

摘要
Copper(I) complexes prepared in situ from Cu(I)(CH3CN)(4)PF6 and several chiral dinucleating ligands have been studied as catalysts for the allylic oxidation of cyclohexene with tert-butyl perbenzoate. Cyclohexenyl benzoate was obtained in yields ranging from 30-92% and with enantioselectivities up to 37% ee. Surprisingly, the formation of an imide has also been observed in significant yields.
