TRANSIENT PHOTOBLEACHING IN THE QUANTUM-DOT QUANTUM-WELL CDS/HGS/CDS

摘要
Transient photobleaching experiments have been performed with spherically layered semiconductor particles consisting of a size quantized core of CdS, one monolayer of HgS and three monolayers of CdS as the outermost shell. The most interesting result from these experiments is that the photobleaching follows spectrally the newly evolving 1s-1s electronic transition of the composite particles. Some considerations concerning the charge carrier dynamics in the novel quantum dot quantum wells (QDQWs) are outlined.
