摘要
Oxygen-sensitive nickel(II) complexes with macrocyclic ligands promote DNA cleavage without additional oxidants, initiators, or irradiation. The reaction does not involve OH. radicals, but superoxido-Ni(III) complexes may play a role. The reactivity of the nickel complexes is highly dependent on the substituents on the ligands, which may allow fine-tuning for in vivo applications. R1,R2 e.g. F, H.
