摘要
The polyester was oxidized in solution and in films to provide a rare example of an electrically conducting polymer that has alternating conjugated and nonconjugated main chain segments. This polymer cannot conduct via polarons/bipolarons but can conduct via pi-stacks formed by aggregation of the oxidized oligothiophene units. Thus it has structural features of both small molecule, 1-dimensional conductors, and conducting polymers.
