摘要
1. 1. Energy budgets were determined for individuals of six teleost fishes fed ad libitum at 25°C. 2. 2. Pronounced intraspecific variabilities existed in the growth rate and most components of the energy budget in the six species. 3. 3. In two species, individual differences in growth were mainly caused by variations in the proportion of food energy allocated to metabolism; in one species, individual growth differences were mainly caused by variations in feeding rate; in the other three species, both variations in feeding rate and in the proportion of food energy allocated to metabolism were important in causing the growth differences. © 1990.
