摘要
The authors propose a multimode waveguide photodiode utilising asymmetric waveguide structure which is suitable for optical hybrid integration without coupling lenses, and has a high responsivity of 0.95 A/W at a wavelength of 1.31 mu m. Its 1 dB coupling tolerance to a planar lightwave circuit is +/-2 mu m in the vertical direction.
