摘要
Laser photolysis method for direct measurement of the triplet state characteristics of some of the most efficient laser dyes is reported. Triplet lifetimes τT and intersystem crossing constants KST for some xanthene and oxazine dyes in different solvents are presented. The positive effect of cyclo-octatetraene and diphenylbutadiene on laser properties is attributed to the reduction in the intersystem crossing constant and not to the quenching of the triplet state of the dye molecule. © 1990.
