X-RAY FRAUNHOFER-DIFFRACTION FROM A MIRROR AT GRAZING ANGLES

摘要
By illuminating a mirror with monochromatic X-rays at very grazing angles, clear Fraunhofer diffraction fringes arising from the small dimensions of the reflected beam in the reflecting plane have been observed. Their intensity distribution is rationalised with an analytical model based on diffraction from an inclined slit.
