THE CONTROLLED PARENTERAL DELIVERY OF POLYPEPTIDES AND PROTEINS

摘要
Strategies for the controlled parenteral delivery of polypeptides and proteins are reviewed. The different approaches are divided into five classes: (a) hydrogels, (b) self-diffusion systems, (c) microparticles, (d) biodegradable polymers, and (e) porous membranes; self-regulated delivery represents an additional subset. These methods are discussed in the light of difficulties associated with delivery of proteins, including their low permeability, rapid proteolysis, and denaturation within the delivery system. © 1990.
