摘要
This communication demonstrates that the extra-column, laminar-flow, aerosol volume for HPLC detection methods employing typical aerosol interfaces has a small effect on peak variance compared to extra-column volume in the liquid phase. The higher velocities used with aerosol systems accommodate larger extra-column volumes before band broadening becomes significant. The reported results are limited to situations where a laminar how profile is established at atmospheric pressure.
