Observed cyeoeoxicity of the New Zealand sponge, Hymeniacidon hauraki, was attributed to a furan fatty acid constituent, (8Z,11Z,14Z,17Z)-3,6-epoxyeicos-3,5,8,11,14,17-hexenoic acid [1].
