摘要
Dielectric relaxation often occurs with a time dependence described by a 'stretched exponential', exp[- t(beta)], with beta similar to 0.43 = beta(K). Kohlrausch found this functional form and this value of beta first in 1847, but both have been repeatedly confirmed. beta(K) is calculated and it is shown that it is 3/7. This value of beta(K) explains the values of beta observed in many electronic, molecular and polymeric relaxation processes.
