ESR SPECTRAL OBSERVATION OF LITHIATION BEHAVIOR OF ALPHA-ZN2V2O7 AND CU2V2O7

摘要
Lithiation characteristics of alpha-Zn2V2O7 and alpha- and beta-Cu2V2O7 were investigated by ESR spectral method. Lithiation was carried out chemically using n-butyllithium/n-hexane solution. It was revealed that V(IV) in the alpha-Zn2V2O7 lattice was formed upon lithiation up to Li/2(Zn+V)=1 and further lithiation causes a formation of a rock-salt type oxide, presumably Li3Zn2V2O7. In alpha- and beta-Cu2V2O7, VO2+ was formed besides V(IV) in the lattice. Differences in the behaviours originated from a pillar effect of zinc component in the oxide.
