摘要
Chromosomal DNAs of different strains of the taxonomic species Saccharomyces unisporus, S. servazzii, S. dairensis and S. castellii were compared by CHEF gel electrophoresis. Nine S. unisporus strains are homogenous for molecular karyotypes. The physiologically different species S. unisporus and S. servazzii have similar karyotypes and therefore compose one chromosomal complex. According to molecular karyotyping, the taxonomic species S. dairensis is a heterogenic taxon and apparently contains several distinct species. Particularly one strain, CBS 6463, originally designated as Kazachstania viticola (Zubkova, 1971) has a unique karyotype pattern.
