摘要
The cyclic voltammetric response of uric acid and ascorbic acid was studied using polyelectrolyte multilayer (PEM) film-coated Au electrodes. The voltammetric response of uric acid was effectively suppressed by coating the electrode surface with the PEM films composed of poly(allylamine hydrochloride) and poly(vinyl sulfate) through size exclusion effects. The PEM film-coated electrode was also effective for reducing the voltammetric response of ascorbic acid, in which both size exclusion effects and/or electrostatic repulsion are origin of the reduced response. It is suggested that the PEM film-coated electrodes can be used for constructing oxidase-based biosensors which are free from interferences of uric acid and ascorbic acid.
