Coordination polymers from M(hfac)2 [M = CuII, MnII] and 4,4′-dipyridyldisulfide

摘要
Reaction of M(hfac)(2) with a -S-S- bridged bidentate ligand 4-PDS (=4,4'-dipyridyl disulfide) afforded 1:1 coordination polymers 4-PDS . Cu(Hfac)(2) (I) and 4-PDS . Mn(hfac)2 (2). The Cu(II) ions in 1 are linked by the twisted molecules of 4-PDS, forming a one-dimensional helical chain structure, the N-donor ligands of 4-PDS occupying the cis positions around the Cu(II) ion. The structure of 2 consists of zigzag infinite chains, the N-donor ligands occupying the trans positions around the metal center.
