A hydrogen-bonded cyclic assembly (rosette, left) of a melamine featuring π-conjugated oligo(p-phenyleneethynylene) hierarchically self-organizes with a cyanurate in decane under dilute conditions to form toroidal nanostructures (right) with a diameter of 40 nm. © 2008 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
