摘要
The last 15 years saw expansion of molecular engineering based on TTF oligomers and hybrid systems containing TTF units. Majority of efforts focused on the properties-directed synthesis of large molecules and molecular assemblies. As a result, supramolecular chemistry in this field developed rapidly, and the transition from supramolecules to materials gradually proceeded with realization of molecular switches, devices, and machines. Contrary to the stubborn, traditional means, the flexibility of designing supramolecular materials make it possible to couple two or several optimized properties into the same material. Bi-TTFs, bis-TTFs, and related TTF-oligomers are a relatively new class of donors that play a key role in the basic science of organic conductors.
