MAGNETOOPTICAL STUDY ON DILUTED MAGNETIC III-V HETEROSTRUCTURES

摘要
This work presents polar Kerr-rotation measurements on m-V diluted magnetic semiconductors in both heterostructures (InMnAs/AlSb) and bulk films (2.5 mu m InMnAs on GaAs(100)). The heterostructure shows a strong magneto-optical effect at low temperatures (5.5 K) with polar Kerr rotation theta(K) = 0.18 degrees at 1.65 eV and a very structured spectral dependence of theta(K) different from that in the bulk samples.
