摘要
The use of light-emitting field-effect transistors in various applications such as solar cells, display technology and communication systems is discussed. Organic light-emitting field-effect transistors provide a novel device architecture to investigate fundamental optoelectronic properties in organic materials, and can be used in display technology, electrically driven organic lasers, and solid state lighting. They can provide effective solutions for increasing the aperture of the electroluminescent pixels as well as their brightness and lifetime through the control of charge injection and accumulation in the organic layers. The most important property of organic compound is that they can be deposited on any substrates and thus they are used for electronic and photonic applications. The transistors can also be used for low-cost fabrication techniques such as inkjet printing on large-area and flexible substrates.
