Sulfobacin A (1) and B (2), new sulfonolipids isolated from Chryseobacterium sp. as von Willebrand factor antagonists, were synthesized stereoselectively by starting from L-cysteine. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
