摘要：

The initial observations on the instability of Me2Si(OH) 2 toward self-condensation fueled interest on silanols. Various types of stable silanols came to be known. Specifically, stable molecular compounds containing Si-OH, Si-(OH)2, and Si-(OH) 3 units have been synthesized and structurally characterized. As a result of continuous development, it is now possible by a careful choice of an appropriate silanol and a metal substrate to design and assemble specific metallasiloxanes of interest.
