摘要
The long-term impact and safety of radiation for in-stent restenosis is unknown. We report 2-year clinical follow-up of 50 patients in each of 3 study groups: (1) beta Washington Radiation for In-Stent restenosis Trial (WRIST) (90-yttrium), (2) gamma radiation arm (iridium-192) of WRIST, and (3) placebo arm of WRIST. Baseline clinical, angiographic, and procedural characteristics were similar between groups. Target vessel revascularization and composite major adverse cardiac events were significantly reduced with radiation therapy using 90-yttrium and iridium-192 for in-stent restenosis with an acceptable safety profile at 2 years.
